Panorama of Dorgali
Dorgali is located on the mid-east Sardinian coast, in a wild territory surrounded by the gorgeous sea of the Orosei Gulf and its Supramonte.
Important city of the Nuoro province, it is characterized by a farming-pastoral and artisan economy, and it is famous for the wide range of its touristic offer and for its food and wines variety and goodness.
Old buildings built with dark volcanic rocks and many small districts churches characterize the historic city center.

Dorgali has been always known for its gold, leather, pottery, fabric, knives and iron artisans. Their gorgeous hand-crafted objects are shown in the many little shop along the small city streets.
Those who want to know the history of Dorgali can visit the interesting Archaeological Museum that houses an important collection of finds from the nuragica era, Roman, Punic and the Museum Fancello, dedicated to the great sculptor and ceramist Salvatore Fancello, that exposes part of his intense production.
Just a few miles from Dorgali the private museum S’abba Frisca will take you on a natural and ethnographic path particularly rich of local flora and fauna and in which you can admire reconstructions of traditional environments of our civilization.
Panorama of Cala Gonone
Dorgali owes part of his fame to the village of Cala Gonone, called by us simply Gonone, become a country today, which is about nine kilometres from the main city centre and situated downstream of the gallery that allows you to cross the limestone ridge on the coast of the Gulf of Orosei near the conjunction, called “Buca Entu”, between Mount Bardia and mount Tului.
Cala Gonone is known for the splendid coves which follow along its coast.
In the village you can visit the new Aquarium of Cala Gonone and the Foca Monaca Museum.
The Cala Gonone Jazz Festival, held in the town, is among the most important events in the European jazz calendar, and each summer offers to his audience a prestigious Gallery of musicians.
